LEICESTER endured a night to forget as they were well beaten 57-36 at home to Midland rivals Wolverhampton.
The Watling JCB Lions were made to pay for being outgated by their opponents with Erik Riss and Kim Nilsson providing the only two race wins of the night for the hosts.
It's a second consecutive home defeat in the league for Jim Lynch's side who know they need to turn their form around quickly.
New signing Jason Garrity is confident they can do just that and says the Lions will learn a lot from the lesson they were taught by the reigning Champions.
Said Garrity: "At the end of the day, they've got a good strong team, they were way better than us tonight and we didn't deserve anything out of the meeting.
"They were quicker out of the tapes and the way the track was, with the rain we had before the meeting, gating was going to be more important than ever.
"There's nothing we can do though apart from learn from it and move on.
"There's definitely more to come from me; I was excluded for touching the tapes when I don't think I should have been in my first one and then my briggo snapped when I was winning my third race.
"It's good to be here though and I think me and the rest of the team will learn from it and go on and have a decent rest of the season."
The Lions are back in action in two weeks time when they host Rye House at Beaumont Park on Bank Holiday Monday (May 29, 2pm).
